Nice! Mandarin Oranges in 8-ounce bottles recalled

Milky Way International Trading Corp. today announced the recall of Nice! Mandarin Oranges in 8-ounce bottles due to potential glass in the product. The affected product was distributed to Walgreens stores nationwide and displays one of the lot numbers listed below. Consumers could potentially be cut or injured if ingested. To date there have been three complaints, and one alleged injury reported.

The voluntary recall is limited to specific production codes of 8-ounce Nice! Brand Mandarin Oranges in Light Syrup, as follows. The lot codes are located at either the neck or the lid of the glass bottles.

Beech-Nut baby food recalled because it contain glass

Beech-Nut Nutrition, an Amsterdam, N.Y. establishment, is recalling approximately 1,920 pounds of baby food products that may be contaminated with small pieces of glass, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The baby food product was produced on December 12, 2014. The following product is subject to recall: [View Labels]

• 4-oz. glass jars containing “Stage 2 Beech-Nut CLASSICS sweet potato & chicken”

The product subject to recall bears the establishment number “P-68A” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The affected product expires in “DEC 2016” and includes product numbers “12395750815” through “12395750821”. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

The problem was discovered after the firm received a complaint from a consumer who found a small piece of glass in the product.

The company has received a report of an oral injury associated with consumption of these products. FSIS has received no additional reports of injury or illness from consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.

Wilson Consumer Products Is recalling Cotterill & Rouse Chilli Jam in a 350g glass container with a ‘best before’ date of 17.11.15-1.  The best before date is located above the nutrition information panel on the product label  and includes the product batch number (-1) The Product is being recalled due to the risk of glass contamination.

Corona Extra Beer Recalled

Constellation Brands Beer Division today announced a voluntary recall of select packages in the U.S. containing 12-ounce clear glass bottles of its Corona Extra beer that may contain small particles of glass. The voluntary recall covers 12-ounce clear bottles in select six-pack, 12-pack and 18-pack packages containing bottles with the production codes listed below.

This recall comes after routine inspections in the company's quality control laboratory detected defects in certain bottles that could cause small particles of glass to break off and fall into the bottle. The affected bottles came from one of four glass plants run by a third party manufacturer, which supplies the company the bottles. While the company believes that less than 1 percent of the bottles produced from the plant may be affected, it is recalling select packages that may contain defective bottles to ensure the safety of consumers.

To date the company has received no reports of injuries resulting from the affected bottles.
