Campbell Soup recalls SpaghettiOs due to choking hazard

CAMDEN, NJ, November 12, 2015 – Campbell Soup Company is voluntarily recalling 14.2 ounce cans of SpaghettiOs Original due to a potential choking hazard posed by pieces of red plastic found in a small number of cans. This plastic material is from parts of the can lining which may peel off.

The affected 14.2 ounce SpaghettiOs Original product has a date of February 22, 2017 which is stamped on the base of the can, and a UPC code of 51000 22432 printed under the bar code.

The issue was identified after the company received consumer complaints.

This recall affects 355,000 cans and is limited to the United States.

This product should not be eaten. People who have bought the affected product should return it to the store where it was purchased for an exchange or full refund. Report an Incident Involving this Product

The four recalled children’s water bottles have popular cartoon characters on a hard-sided plastic bottle. Characters and bottle colors include Dora the Explorer®, violet; Hello Kitty®, pink; SpongeBob Square Pants®, blue; and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles®, green. The bottles stand 6 inches tall, hold 15 ounces of liquid, have white lids that screw off and have fold-up straws and filters that sit inside the straw below the lid.  Each bottle bears a Brita logo and features the image of a popular children’s cartoon character. The removable plastic wrap on the bottle at time of purchase has the model number BB07 and the following UPC codes: 60258-35883 on the Dora the Explorer, 60258-35914 on the Hello Kitty, 60258-35880 on the SpongeBob Square Pants and 60258-35882 on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Brita has received 35 reports of lids breaking or cracking. No injuries have been reported.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled water bottles and contact Brita to receive a postage-paid shipping package to return the bottles for a full refund.

Hello Kitty bottles were sold from February 2014 through July 2014. Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob Square Pants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles bottles were sold from June 2013 through July 2014. The bottles sold for about $13 to $19.

BJ's Recalls Asiago Risotto Bites Due to Choking Hazard

BJ’s Wholesale Club has been notified by Stuffed Foods LLC that it is voluntarily recalling its Asiago Risotto Bites due to a potential choking hazard. To date, no illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection to this recall. Stuffed Foods issued this voluntary recall after they were notified by Biery Cheese, their Swiss cheese supplier, that the Swiss cheese they purchased may contain small pieces of plastic.

Asiago Risotto Bites that have a best by date of: November 7, 2014, November 13, 2014, November 14, 2014, November 20, 2014, and November 22, 2014 are affected by this recall.

If you purchased any of the recalled products, please discontinue use and discard the remaining Asiago Risotto Bites.  Please do not return the product to BJ’s.
