Boneless Pork Rib meals recalled

 Bellisio Foods, Inc., a Jackson, Ohio establishment, is recalling approximately 285,264 pounds of boneless pork rib shaped patty frozen entree products that may be adulterated with extraneous materials, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The Boston Market Boneless Pork Rib Shaped Patty with BBQ Sauce and Mashed Potatoes frozen entree items were produced on various dates between Sept. 09, 2015, and Dec. 14, 2015. The following products are subject to recall: [View Label (PDF Only)]

• 14-oz. boxed packages containing “Boston Market Home Style Meals Boneless Pork Rib Shaped Patty with BBQ Sauce and Mashed Potatoes” with Use By dates 09/09/2016; 09/22/2016; 10/08/2016; 10/30/2016; and 12/14/2016.

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 18297” on the end panel of the package. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

The problem was discovered after the firm received consumer complaints of possible glass or hard plastic pieces being found in the frozen entree.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions or injuries due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.  

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

Maple Leaf Food Inc. recalls boneless pork shoulders

Maple Leaf Food Inc., a Manitoba, Canada establishment, is recalling approximately 4,030 pounds of boneless pork shoulders products that were not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. Without the benefit of full inspection, a possibility of adverse health consequences exists.

The Boneless Pork Shoulder Boston Butt items were imported on Oct. 31, 2015. The following products are subject to recall:View Label

• 62-lb. (approximate weight) cartons of “Pork Shoulder Blade Boneless ¼” COV 2X4”

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “007” inside Canada’s mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations in California.

The problem was discovered on Nov. 3, 2015, by the import inspector, during routine FSIS monitoring activities of imported products. The import inspector determined that three lots on one certificate had been presented to him, inspected and passed; however, a fourth lot on a different certificate had not been presented and entered the country without inspection.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.

Di Stefano Cheese Co., a Pomona, Calif., establishment, is recalling approximately 1,280 pounds of Parma Boneless Ham produced in Italy that were not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. Without the benefit of full inspection, a possibility of adverse health consequences exists.

• 15 lb. cases of “Ruliano Collezione Regale” Parma boneless ham with case code 14260
• 15 lb. cases of “Ruliano 24” Parma boneless ham with a sell by date of 08-02-2016

These products were sent to distributors in the California.

The problem was discovered by routine record verification in the Public Health Information System (PHIS).

FSIS and the company have received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.
