The product has been sold in Countdown supermarkets throughout New Zealand.

The New Zealand Dessert Company is initiating a recall of a batch of the Everyday Entertainer Brand Chocolate Bavarian Cheesecake (450g) (Best Before: 03/01/2017) as the product may contain Bacillus cereus.

The affected product should not be consumed. There have been no consumer reports of illness, however any person concerned about their health should seek medical advice. Recall: Edgwick Farm Chocolate Goat Milk Improperly Pasteurized

New York State Agriculture Commissioner Richard A. Ball today alerted consumers that chocolate milk produced by Edgwick Farm LTD, located at 348 Angola Rd., Cornwall, NY 12518, is being voluntarily recalled due to improper pasteurization.  Proper pasteurization heats milk in order to effectively eliminate all pathogenic bacteria, such as listeria and salmonella. No illnesses have been reported to date to the Department in connection with this problem.

The recalled chocolate milk product was sold at several Hudson Valley Farmers’ Markets in the last week.  The product was sold under the name Edgwick Farm Chocolate Goat Milk.  It was packaged in a half-gallon plastic container bearing the container code of:  060415 BEST BY 061815.

A Routine Pasteurizer Inspection conducted by a New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Milk Control and Dairy Services inspector revealed that this lot of product was improperly pasteurized.

Great Britain: Mars is recalling its Galaxy Cookie Crumble chocolate bars

Mars Chocolate UK is recalling its Galaxy Cookie Crumble chocolate bars (114g) with a ‘best before’ end date of 16 August 2015 and batch codes PB21, PB22 and PB23 because they might contain a small piece of white plastic. The FSA has issued a Product Recall Information Notice.

3 oz. institutional/food service Blue Bell ice cream cups recalled

Blue Bell Ice Cream of Brenham, Texas, is recalling three 3 oz. institutional/food service ice cream cups- chocolate, strawberry and vanilla with tab lids because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

On March 22, the Kansas Department of Health & Environment reported one positive test for Listeria monocytogenes on a chocolate institutional/food service cup recovered from a hospital in Wichita, Kan. This cup was produced in the Broken Arrow, Okla., plant on April 15, 2014. These cups are not sold thru retail outlets such as convenience stores and supermarkets.

The ice cream cups listed below were distributed in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wyoming via food service accounts.

GlaxoSmithKline Recalls MaxiNutrition Cyclone Milk Due to Potential Risk of Injury to the Mouth

MaxiNutrition Cyclone Milk flavours strawberry and chocolate that were packed in 330 ml size were recalled. All batch codes and all expire dates were included.

This product was produced in Austria

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is recalling all batches of MaxiNutrition Cyclone Milk (strawberry flavour and chocolate flavour).  In some cases one of the ingredients creatine, has crystallised in the product and if consumed may cause injury to the mouth.  A point of sale recall notice should be displayed in stores that sold this product.

Protein powder in chocolate and vanilla blends recalled Due to Staphylococcus contamination

Project Healthy Living, Inc. of New York, New York (d/b/a Aloha, Inc.) is voluntarily recalling all packages of Premium Protein powder in chocolate and vanilla blends because it has the potential to be contaminated with Staphylococcus enterotoxin.

The presence of Staphylococcus enterotoxins may be injurious to health and may result in staphylococcal food poisoning. Nausea, vomiting, retching, abdominal cramping, and prostration may occur. In more severe cases there may be headache, muscle cramping, and transient changes in blood pressure and pulse.

The Aloha Premium Protein products were distributed nationwide from November 2014 through January 2015 directly to consumers through online sales and in New York through a very limited number of retail stores. All sizes of Aloha's Vanilla and Chocolate Premium Protein blends are being voluntarily recalled. This product is packaged and sold in both 14-serving sized steel tins and single-serving sized pouches. The single serving pouches may be in kits that contain other products not affected by the voluntary recall.

To date, Aloha has received 17 complaints from customers who have reported transient gastrointestinal symptoms consistent with staphylococcal food poisoning. This voluntary recall is a result of an extensive testing program, which Aloha began immediately following individual customer complaints of gastrointestinal issues. Aloha is working closely with its manufacturer, co-packers, ingredient suppliers and distribution partners to determine the source and cause of the contamination.

Aloha has temporarily ceased production and distribution of the Premium Protein products until further analytical testing can confirm the specific source of the contamination. Aloha has already notified customers via direct e-mail correspondence and created a dedicated website regarding the voluntary recall. In addition, Aloha is offering 24/7 customer support through Monday, February 2nd and then will resume regular customer support hours (Monday - Friday 10am-9pm EST).

All customers who have purchased Aloha's Premium Protein products are instructed to discontinue use and complete the refund form found online at Aloharecall.com. Customers with product remaining are also asked to return the product and its original packaging for further examination.

Cookie & ice cream products Recalled due to possible metal shavings

Michigan State University, in coordination with the Michigan Department of Agriculture, announced Nov. 14 it is recalling several cookie and ice cream products due to potential contamination of metal shavings.

The recalled products are MSU Bakers Decorated Sugar Cookies, Udder Delight's Swiss Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich and Udder Delight's Classic Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich.

On Nov. 13, an employee discovered that a machine used in the production process was malfunctioning and immediately notified supervisors. The Michigan Department of Agriculture, the regulatory agency for the state that oversees food production, was notified and began an inspection. Production of the products in question was immediately ceased, and all known products were pulled from retail shelves.

There have been no reports of injury due to the possible contamination. If a customer still has any of the noted products, please segregate them and contact the MSU Bakery. MSU will dispose of the products and credit accounts. Anyone with questions can contact MSU Bakers at 517-353-9315. Upon completion of the state inspection, production will resume with new equipment.

Cooks Farm Dairy Recalls Chocolate Milk

Cooks Farm Dairy, 2950 E. Seymour Lake Rd. Ortonville, MI 48462 is voluntarily recalling their Cooks Farm Dairy Chocolate Milk because it may contain illness-causing pathogens.  Although no illnesses have been reported, Cooks Farm Dairy is recalling this product out of an abundance of caution.

The MDARD conducted routine sampling of the chocolate milk, where analysis found the sample with high levels of phosphatase, which indicates that the chocolate milk was under-pasteurized. The dairy plant’s owner is cooperating with the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) in working to determine the cause.

The chocolate milk is packaged in plastic pints, plastic half gallons and plastic gallon containers with a 7/20 code date on the bottle.  The product was distributed to retail stores in southeastern Michigan and at the “Endless Cup of Chocolate Milk” booth at the Oakland County Fair July 4th through the 13th, 2014.

Consumers who have purchased Cooks Farm Dairy Chocolate Milk with a 7/20 date code date are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.  No other Cooks Dairy Farm products are involved in this recall.

Ireland and Great Britain: Tesco Recalls Chocolate & Nut Cones

Tesco Ireland is recalling batches of Tesco 4 Chocolate & Nut Ice Cream Cones, due to the discovery of a pain relief tablet in two individual cones. The affected cones have a best before date up to and including July 2014

Tesco Ireland has issued in-store notices requesting customers who have bought the affected batches to return them to a Tesco store.  For further information consumers can contact Tesco Ireland on freephone 1800 248123.  No action is required by official agencies.

Canada: Recall Chocolate And White Milk Recalled

Agropur cooperative advises consumers not to consume the Québon brand white and chocolate milks produced at the Montreal plant (AGRT 2889) in all below indicated formats, with the November 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 2013 expiry dates.

These products do not meet Agropur quality standards.

Although complaints have been filed and products have been consumed for a few days, there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.

Agropur asks consumers to return the products to their retailer for an exchange or refund.
