Australia: Mussels Recalled for Listeria

Eden smokehouse smoked mussels mexican chilli flavour have been recalled by Sapphire Coast Smoked Fish Plt Ltd. The product was sold in a 200g packet and affected product covers all best before dates up to and including 27 AUG 13.

The recall is due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination.Listeria monocytogenes may cause illness in pregnant women and their unborn babies, the elderly and people with low immune systems.
This product was sold nationally. The product have been available for sale at Thomas Dux supermarkets, Supabarn, independent supermarkets and seafood stores in NSW, VIC and ACT.
Consumers should not eat this product. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice. Customers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
