Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella canresult in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severeillnessessuch as arterial infection (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.
There are no other flavors of Dancing Star Chunks of Energy or Rave Bites being recalled
The recalled items are distributed nationwide and sold to retail stores, some of them in bulk for the sales of smaller quantities to their customers.
Consumers who have purchased this item are urged to not eat the product, and to dispose of it or return it to the store where it was originally purchased for credit.
