Australia: Dangerous Ice Coffee Recall


Dare cold pressed iced coffee product packaged in a  320ml pressurised aluminum bottle has been recalled. Both Classic Full Bodied and Strong Dark Roast are in the recall but no other DARE products are affected.
Dare Cold Pressed Classic is marked 9310232955988 and Dare Cold Pressed Strong is marked 9310232955995
If the product is left unrefrigerated, there is a risk that the pressurised bottle will burst through the base of the bottle.
The bottle may burst and be propelled with significant force, potentially causing serious injury if a person is struck by the bottle.
These ice coffees were available for sale from 23rd September 2013 to 15th November 2013
The product was sold in New South Wales at Woolworths, Coles, Franklins, Metcash, Spar, Supabarn and Independent Grocers.

Consumers should be careful not to shake the product.They should empty the bottle by pointing the bottle downwards and away from their face and body, gradually unscrewing the cap and pouring the contents out of the bottle. Consumers should contact the Lion customer enquiry centre on 1800 677 852 to arrange a full refund of the purchase price.
