Egg Whites recalled because of salmonella

GoNutrition has recalled a batch of bottles of its GoFood Liquid Egg Whites with a ‘best before’ end of 8 April 2015. This is because some bottles have shown the presence of salmonella. Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause food poisoning. [
The recalled product is:
  • GoFood Liquid Egg Whites Barn Farmed
  • 'best before' end (this is displayed on the label as 'DLC', the 'date limite de consommation'): 8 April 2015
  • size: 1,000ml
  • lot code: 441202.12.05
If you have bought the above product, do not consume it. Instead, contact GoNutrition at cshelp@gonutrition.com and return the product for a full refund.
The UK company which distributed this product, Monocore Limited, contacted consumers who have bought the affected product. Product recall notices are being sent to customers, explaining the reason for recall and the actions they can take if they have bought the affected product. A notice will appear on the GoNutrition website.
No other batches of this product are known to be affected.
