As a precautionary measure ASDA recalls it’s own Curried Chicken Snack Pack (Chosen By You) is being recalled due to detection of Listeria monocytogenes. ASDA spock person said “As soon as our supplier informed us of the positive test result we removed the snack pot from our shelves. While this is a serious issue, it affects a single batch of less than 500 snack packs”.
Listeria monocytogenes can cause illness in certain groups of people, such as pregnant women, unborn and newborn babies, and anyone with reduced immunity,The pack size is 150 g
The date code: use by 17 July 2013 and the barcode is 05052449807457 ASDA. Product recall notices will be displayed in store, advising consumers of the recall and what they can do if they have purchased the affected product.
