Viridian International Ltd recalls two batches of its Licorice Root Vegetarian Capsules due to the detection of salmonella

Licorice Root Vegetarian Capsules are packed in glass jars containing 30 and 90 capsules.  The batch codes are 3912206 for 30 capsules and 301226 for 90 capsules with a best before date of 22/6/2016 for both products.

If you have bought this product, with the ‘batch codes’ listed above, please do not consume it. Instead, return it to the store it was purchased from for a full refund.

Salmonellosis is an infection with Salmonella bacteria. Most people infected with Salmonella develop diarrhea, fever, vomiting, and abdominal cramps 8 to 72 hours after infection. In most cases, the illness lasts 4 to 7 days and most people recover without treatment.
