Dierbergs recalls Melissa's Pine Nuts

St. Louis, November 5, 2015 - In response to a voluntary product recall by World Variety Produce, Inc., Dierbergs Markets has removed the following product from its shelves because of the potential for contamination with Salmonella:

Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonellaoften experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses.

Customers may return the affected product to any Dierbergs for a full refund.
