Australia: Four Cheese Products Recalled Due to Listeria


Ashgrove Cheese Pty Ltd is recalling Emporium Selection Pepper Cheese & Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm Cheese Products
The Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm Cheese products have been available for sale at independent supermarkets in Victoria and Tasmania only. The Emporium Selection Pepper Cheese has been available for sale at Aldi Stores in Victoria, Queensland, NSW and the ACT.
The Following cheeses are being recalled:
Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm Bush Pepper Cheese 50g with a Best Before 30/6/14
Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm Cheese - Wine Lovers 250g with a Best Before 7/7/14 and 23/6/14
Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm Cheese 150g - Picnic Pack with a Best Before 23/6/14
Emporium Selection Pepper Cheese 170g with a Best Before 14/7/14 and 3/8/14
The recall is due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Listeria may cause illness in pregnant women and their unborn babies, the elderly and people with low immune systems.
These cheeses were sold Nationally by Adi and Independent Supermarkets
Consumers should not eat these products and should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
