Bumble Bee Tuna Pouches Recalled

Bumble Bee Foods, LLC, is expanding its recall of certain codes of Pouched Albacore Tuna because of defects in the pouch seals, according to a Department of Defense The defective pouches could cause product spoilage and lead to illness if eaten.
"This recall includes about 3,500 - 4,000 cases of product," Stith said. "We are asking our commissary patrons to check for this recalled product. If they have it, please don't consume it. They can return the recalled product to the commissary for a refund."
The following products are affected by this recall:
  • Bumble Bee Premium Albacore Tuna in Water, case UPC 8660024011 and label UPC 8660024011 with "Best by Date" of March 2017 – September 2017.
  • Bumble Bee Premium Fillet Albacore Tuna with Jalapenos and Olive Oil, case UPC 8660024012 and label UPC 8660024012 with "Best by Date" of March 2017 – September 2017.
  • Bumble Bee Premium Albacore Tuna with Sundried Tomatoes and Olive Oil, case UPC 8660024013 and label UPC 8660024013 with "Best by Date" of March 2017 – September 2017.
  • Bumble Bee Premium Albacore Tuna with Chipolte and Olive Oil, case UPC 8660024014 and label UPC 8660024014 with "Best by Date" of March 2017 – September 2017.
  • Bumble Bee Premium Albacore Tuna in Water, case UPC 8660024016 and label UPC 8660024016 with "Best by Date" of March 2017 – September 2017.
  • Bumble Bee Premium Albacore Tuna in Water, case UPC 8660024031 and (shipper) label UPC 8660024011 with "Best by Date" of March 2017 – September 2017.
  • Bumble Bee Premium Albacore Tuna in Water, case UPC 8660024051 and (cluster pack) label UPC 8660024016 with "Best by Date" of March 2017 – September 2017.
  • Bumble Bee Premium Fillet Omega-3 Albacore Tuna with Omega-3 Tuna Oil, case UPC 8660024191 and label UPC 8660024191 with "Best by Date" of March 2017 – September 2017.
